Ryder Cup 2008 (9/15/2008 thru 9/21/2008) Ryder Cup is coming to Louisville in September, 2008, and 1840 Tucker House is ready for a group of special guests. Tucker House is located about seven miles and only ten minutes away from Valhalla Golf Club, the site of the 2008 Ryder Cup. We are probably the closest public accomodations to Valhalla. And we can get you there and back by the back roads that others will never find. All transportation to the course will be provided. All of our usual amenities will be in place, of course, and, in addition, we will provide the following: 1) transportation to and from the airport if needed, 2) transportation to and from Valhalla each day, 3)a welcoming Kentucky dinner featuring local recipes and favorite foods of the area, 4) complimentary snacks and beverages including fresh baked goods, tea, coffee, beer, wine and soft drinks, and 5) a Kentucky gift basket filled with local delicacies and memories. The Ryder Cup is a huge event and a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the true golf fan. So why not spend it in a location that will truly give you the feel of old Kentucky? You and your party will have the exclusive use of this beautiful National Register Landmark for the entire week. Louisville, Kentucky is a great place to spend a week even without the golf. The practice rounds are on September 16-18 and the Cup begins on Thursday, September 19 and ends on Sunday, September 21, 2008. We expect our guests to stay from Monday night through Sunday night. The total cost for the whole house (four bedrooms) is $27,600.00 for seven nights ($6,900.00 per room). All room and sales taxes are included (15.01%). A 25% deposit is due at time of reservation, another 25% on December 1, 2007 and the final 50% on August 1, 2008. All deposits are non-refundable unless we are able to rebook the rooms. Extra nights before or after the seven days may be booked at $250.00 plus tax per room night. Come enjoy the golf and Kentucky. We can't wait.
